Announcing the start of estate planning law practice

I have decided to join hands with my wife, Claire, to establish a Massachusetts law office dedicated to provided estate planning legal servies.

This is something that Claire and I had contemplated doing for some time. We even discussed this back in law school as an eventual possibility. Now it finally feels like the right time as the pandemic has given me some time make the pivot. I think that Claire and I will make a good team together. She has a tremendous amount of experience in estate planning, and I bring the tax expertise to the table.

Even though I view this as a pivot, I see myself also using this new role as a way to further help the nonprofit community with planned giving and more sophisticated fundraising techniques.

My current Sierra Club position is just not a serious one. I will likley just remain in that position until the pandemic ends, and take advantage of the remote work, and the steady paycheck. This should allow me the time to focus as much as I can on this next step.

More to come later this year. Meanwhile, lots of work to do.
